Man with open G-Vest+ weighted workout vest for best fit and performance

We designed the OMORPHO G-Vest weighted vest to be the simplest workout solution for becoming fitter, faster and stronger. In addition to having the optimal weight and being digitally connected, the G-Vest provides the perfect fit for resistance training, running, fitness classes and much more.

Many of our customers have asked us about the “right fit” for their G-Vest in order to get the most out of their workouts. In the past, weighted vests were bulkier and heavier, which led to even more confusion about how they should be worn. The G-Vest is designed to fit like a second skin, providing a snug feel without compromising movement or breathing. It also offers adjustability through shoulder straps and side-cinching cords for increased customization.

Here’s a guide to getting the right fit in your OMORPHO G-Vest.

How tight should you wear the G-Vest?

The G-Vest should be worn snugly without restricting your activity. You want to make sure that it feels like it’s close to your body without shifting or bouncing around. When fitted close to the skin, the G-Vest won’t feel loose or inhibit your natural movement. It should also never feel so tight that you struggle to breathe or feel constrained.

How high or low should you wear the G-Vest?

The G-Vest can be worn higher or lower on your torso, depending on your preference, activity and comfort. For example, if you’re doing ab crunches, you may want to wear the vest a little higher in order to clear your abdominal area for maximum movement. On the other hand, if you’re doing movements that involve your arms or shoulders, you may want to wear the vest lower to achieve a fuller range of motion.

How can I customize the fit of my G-Vest+?

There are two main features that help you customize the fit of your G-Vest+. The shoulder straps allow you to adjust the height up and down your body, while the side-cinching cords help you adjust the width around your body. To raise or lower the vest, use the shoulder straps to pull or release tension. To tighten the vest, pull on the cords and push the cord lock to keep your preferred tension in place. To loosen the vest, press on the cord lock to release tension while pulling the strings inward. We made a video to demonstrate this process! Ultimately, the exact fit is meant to be modified to your preference and should always prioritize your comfort and safety.

What kinds of activities might require adjustments to the fit of my G-Vest?

As we mentioned above, doing ab crunches might be a good opportunity to wear the vest a little higher on your body. For running, we recommend keeping the vest tight, as long as stays both comfortable and breathable. For HIIT or other workouts that require a variety of movements, you can wear the vest a little looser than a runner would while making sure it stays snug.
